This is a practical beginner Digital SLR Photography Workshop based in the City of Lincoln where we will cover the basics of your DSLR camera.

The photography course is suitable for complete beginners to photography and cameras, or those with a little knowledge of photography who would like to get more from their camera.

In this small friendly group, you will learn everything you need to know to get you up and running and leave with a whole new understanding of digital photography.

This beginner's DSLR photography workshop will start and finish at the studio and will cover the following.

Aperture
Depth of Field
Shutter Speed
ISO
Rule of Thirds
How to use a light meter
How each element works in relation to one another

The afternoon is spent using your new skills to photograph in and around Lincoln with Alan by your side, giving you an opportunity to have some, one on one time with him.

Lincoln is a relatively small but historic city with its many attractions, including a 900-year-old cathedral, a castle, Newport arch, Bailgate area and infamous Steep hill, along with numerous other historic buildings. It's a Photographers paradise!

There will be a refresher and Q & A session before leaving at 4 pm, and handouts will be provided for future reference.

Lunch is not provided so please bring your own.
Minimum age 16.
Previous photography experience not required, however, you must have a Digital SLR camera, fully charged batteries, and empty SD cards.
The beginner's Digital SLR photography course will begin at the studio but much of it will take place outdoors, so please dress appropriately and wear suitable footwear.
